The Art of Frank Vining Smith

View master works and ephemera of one of the last painters to focus on the Golden Age of Sail. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Smith spent summers on Cape Cod as a child and early on learned to love the sea. His paintings show the tall sailing ships now mostly vanished from the seas and a series of Cape Cod harbors scenes from the 1950s that depict an old fashioned way of life that was fast disappearing. Free with museum admission at Heritage Museum & Gardens in Sandwich.
